[L\u014dlu = Glue berry\/Indian cherry (Cordia dichotoma<\/a><\/em>), Gas = Tree, Wala = Waterhole]<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u014dlugas Wala 3:4 female was first seen in November 2018, as a very young cub with her two brothers, the<\/mark> L\u014dlugas Wala 4:3 male<\/mark><\/strong><\/a>, and the<\/mark> L\u014dlugas Wala 2:2 male<\/mark><\/strong><\/a>. Their mother was the<\/mark> Siyambalagas Wala 3:3 female<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> and this was her fourth known litter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They were seen around \u016araniya Road, Debaragas Wala, L\u014dlugas Wala, Palugas Wala 1&2, Siyambalagas Wala, Welmalkema, and Kotigala.<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In late 2020, she started to move towards the Palatupana Entrance and was sighted around Wilapalawa and Mahaseelawa. In the first half of 2021, she was seen back in her born area of \u016araniya and Paluagas Wala area. In February 2021, she was photographed making a successful buffalo calf kill around. In March 2021, she was seen with an injury to her right neck area. But she quickly recovered from that injury. From time to time she was seen with<\/mark> Kaluwara Bokkuwa 2:3 male<\/mark><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In August 2021 she was seen and photographed with<\/mark> Rathmal Wala 4:4 female<\/mark><\/strong><\/a>‘s two cubs at Karawgas Wala. This was an amazing behavior. As Rathmal Wala female has been missing since April 2021, this female could have given the cubs some safety and shield. [One of the cubs then moved towards Rukvila and started to live with<\/em><\/mark> Rukvila 3:4 female<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>‘<\/em>s cubs. The other cub was seen around Uraniya and Wilapala Wewa<\/em>]<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was seen with her first litter of one male cub, <\/a><\/mark>Debaragas Wala 3:2 male (2022)<\/mark><\/strong><\/a>, in July 2022 close to Kotigala. This mother-and-son duo was regularly seen within the territory of Rathmal Wala, Kohombagas Wala, Welmalkema, Wihaga Wala, Uraniya, Debaragas Wala, Lolugas Wala, and Kotigala areas<\/strong>.<\/mark> Towards the end of 2023, her previous litter male cub (Debaragas Wala male) started to be independent. <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February 2024 she was seen with two new cubs which is her second known litter.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n
