Their mother is the<\/mark> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leopardtrails.com\/leopardsofyala\/leopards-of-yala\/bola-gala-22-female\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">B\u014dla Gala 2:2 female<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">who is a shy female. This is her second known litter<\/mark>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">They are frequently seen around <strong>Kud\u0101seelawa, Mahaseelawa, Weli \u0100ra, Pattiya Wala, Jamburagala Road, and Tanki Gala.<\/strong> They were observed with the Wilapalawa 2:3 male several times. This female and her sister were seen around the above-mentioned areas in the early half of 2021 and were seen making a few successful huntings.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Though the two sisters separated in mid-2021 they made continuous appearances. She was seen with an injury on her right flank in February 2022 but it was not serious. By mid-2022 she started to make continuous sightings around Kotigala indicating her movement towards North from her born area. [Her sister was occupying their born area by this time, and their mother moving more south.] <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Since August 2022 this female started to explore the RukVila\/Padikema area. By this time <\/mark><a href=\"https:\/\/leopardtrails.com\/leopardsofyala\/ruk-vila-34-female\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Rukvila 3:4 Female<\/mark><\/strong><\/a><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\"> was raising her last litter of two cubs. The time was ripe for the Kudaseelawa female to slowly sneak into the old queen&#8217;s territory. Since early 2023 old Rukvila female has not been seen implying she is no more. At the same time, Kudaseelawa female&#8217;s sightings were more frequent in the area suggesting she is the new queen of the picturesque Patanagala and Rukvila area. <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">In July 2023 she was seen with her first known litter, a single cub within the Rukvila area.<\/mark> The mother and cub duo were frequently seen around Buthawa and Rukvila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In April 2025 this female was seen with her latest litter of a single cub close to Buthawa area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Yala Leopard Diary database &#8211;<\/mark><\/em> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/yalaleoparddiary.com\/identified-leopard-result\/YF52\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/yalaleoparddiary.com\/identified-leopard-result\/YF52<\/a>  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/media\/set\/?set=oa.3420892314666401&amp;type=3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/media\/set\/?set=oa.3420892314666401&amp;type=3<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[Kud\u0101seelawa = name of an area] Kud\u0101seelawa 2:2 female was born in 2019, with her sister, the Kud\u0101seelawa 1:2 female.
