Their mother is<\/mark> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.leopardtrails.com\/leopardsofyala\/leopards-of-yala\/bola-gala-22-female\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">B\u014dla Gala 2:2 female<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">who is a shy female. This is her second known litter.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">They were frequently seen around <strong>Kud\u0101seelawa, Mahaseelawa, Weli \u0100ra, Pattiya Wala, Jamburagala Road, and Tanki Gala.<\/strong> They have been seen with the<\/mark> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leopardtrails.com\/leopardsofyala\/leopards-of-yala\/wilapalawa-23-male\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Wilapalawa 2:3 male<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">several times. This female and her sister were seen around the above-mentioned areas in the early half of 2021 and were seen making a few successful huntings.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Though the two sisters separated from each other both of them made appearances in the same areas again and again. This female was seen mating with<\/mark> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.leopardtrails.com\/leopardsofyala\/leopards-of-yala\/wilapalawa-23-male\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Wilapalawa 2:3 male<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">in February 2022 at Pattiya Wala. <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Her sister started to move North from their born area (and established around the Ruk-Vila area) while this female is still holding onto it. (Interestingly, as this female began to establish herself within her natal range, her mother shifted her territory further south). This female was seen with her first litter of a single cub in December 2022 at Mahaseelawa. Unfortunately, this cub was found dead with bite marks on its neck in the same area in February 2023.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">By 2023, this female had established a territory encompassing much of her natal range. During this period, her mother, the Bola Gala 2:2 female, had shifted further south, thereby allowing her daughter to assume control of the area. The territory includes <strong>BolaGala, KategalWala, Jamburagala Road,Mahaseelwa, Kudaseelawa, Palatupana entrance area and Amaduwa road<\/strong>.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">In late 2023, she was confirmed to have produced a litter of two female cubs, with the first recorded sighting occurring in January 2024. Those cubs were later named as K.S Lagoon 2:2 Female 1 and K.S Lagoon 2:2 Female 2.
